Blue Cheese Spread

4 oz. blue cheese, room temp, crumbled
1 T. honey
1 1/2 t. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. whipped cream, real not artificial
2 pears or apples,, sliced, dipped in lemon juice

 Blend blue cheese with honey and Worcestershire sauce. Add whipped cream and combine. Arrange fruit on a serving plate and place dip in the middle.

Tuesday, hot, watching Oprah Winfrey.

 Try making your children a pretty tossed salad using fresh apples or pears without any dressing and let them have power over some herbs, such a fennel seeds

Barbecue Sauce

March 1, 2002

1 small bottle ketchup, regular flavor
1 1/4 c. chili sauce
2 T. mustard
1 t. bottled garlic
3/4 c. dark brown sugar
1 T. cracked black pepper
3/4 c. wine vinegar
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 T. soy sauce
1 T. canola oil
1 c. beer
1/2 c. lemon juice

Combine and mix well. Use this sauce the last few minutes of cooking. Stores well in refrigerator.

No tv, outside doing yard work.

Open a can of whole kernel corn, drain slightly, add oleo and place on side of charcoal grill. It tastes just like roasted corn.

Smoky Sauce

2 T. lemon vinegar
3/4 c. water
1 t. light brown sugar
1/2 t. Dijon mustard
coarse grind black pepper
dash sea salt
1 small lemon, thinly sliced lemon
1 small onion, thinly sliced
2 T. oleo
1/4 c. catsup
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
splash of liquid smoke

Mix vinegar, water, brown sugar, seasonings, lemon, onion and oleo. Bring to a boil and slow simmer 20 minutes. Strain and add remaining ingredients. Heat to a boil.

Great to brush on salmon or any meats!
